Part 3 GP: 100 Year old Walls Come Down

Hey everyone!

Thanks for following along with on this surprise journey of remodeling our 100 year old farmhouse.  So far we've ripped u carpet to discover hardwood floors and removed paneling to find at least 4 layers of wallpaper covering a sponge board.

The old man decided to humor my "Pinterest addiction" by covering the seams and tears in the wallpaper while I was at work with spackle.....ummmmmmm, let's just say that DOES NOT work on 100 year old paper lol.   Sooooooo, I got the go ahead to just punch a wall and start pulling out the spongy wall board.  Now that part was fun!

Where I punched my hole :)

The aftermath …a lovely mess to clean up lol

And finally, the cubby reveal....

As you can see this has been an learning experience for me...to say the least.  But I was pretty excited to show the old man my demoing skills and he just let me have at it lol.

The next step is to add a few more outlets...as you can see there are only two in this room, and both on the same wall. (Sigh) You can see adding outlets and drywall here.

I hope everyone is hanging in there and following along..I promise you'll get as frustrated as we do and laugh every time we change our "plan" for this room lol.

Have a great night and stay warm everyone!
